India also may not have its indigenous vaccine ready before May 2010. India is still not placed any orders for buying. India is sleeping, and your site is has no information about when will it available. Only way to protect is Vaccine. No one is raising any kind of voice.

Dear Dr. Ajay Gambhir.your kind attention.well, One among the many perils of on line - news/ knowledge dissemination in this www.eraAny Polio news.. what if its sporadic, even the baby/ child is at individual is inherantly at risk, Immuno deficincy-as in this present case/ latest news.It only creats alarms in  epidemic  measure, weakening & worsening furthur, all the firm andstern Polio eradication policies.let it all remain just Local, not disseminated globally and tackled with reinforced and concerted efforts.Only the professionals, especially academic fraternity be affirmed about these sporadic spikes..Hope my concern is appreciated.Dr.shekhar R.G.HYD, Indiaconsultant pediatricianIAP member.

Our information mails are not to weaken or worsen the NIP
These ar circulated among the doctors communities and the people concerned with.
However the news is already in Newspapers, various websites and circulated nation wide rather globally.
These types of incidences are not to create fear but it strenghtens are motive that we still have to do a lot to eradicate Polio.
For your information there has been 20 new cases been reported of Polio P-1 in Benin in 2009 only.

This site was the need of the day.  Its really useful.

Perhaps it will be worthwhile if the latest costs opf the various vaccines could be included so that parents can watch their pocket without feeling guilty and plan when to get their child vaccinated.

It would also be useful if the poor rural population could be taught basic hygeine to avoid epidemics of various dieseases like polio and meningitis. Some social workers could be of help in this regard.

This site is a definate step towards concern amongst Pediatricians for the children.

All the best

Guest ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ): Typhoid vaccine

Excellent Site. Congratulations.

I have gone thro' few pages.

One discrepancy struck me is the name of brand name as in case of 'Typherix' implying collaboration with specific drug company, which hampers the purpose of this web site.

There is also a need for info regarding the other type of vaccine i.e. conjugate typhoid vaccine.

Another issue to ponder: Can we have a separate heading of  'types of available vaccines' under each head-separately not under administration and doses?

Over all really a good web site. Keep it up.

Dr Kamlesh Parekh.
